CEO/Head Coach

I am the Co-Owner (along with my wife) and Head Coach of CrossFit Elm. I am a Colorado man born and raised and a 5th generation Coloradoan. I grew up in Northglenn and currently live in Commerce City. I was introduced to CrossFit as a trainer for globo-gym and fell in love with it. After many years of considering it, I finally decided to open my own box. My favorite thing about CrossFit is the community inherent to it. Walking into a CrossFit box ends up feeling like you’re Norm walking into Cheers. I love being a CrossFit trainer because I get to work with people whose lives shift drastically like mine did (you can read about my weight loss journey HERE) and they are always thrilled about it.
Although these things are important in the box, the things that make me, me are the best things in life. My belief in Jesus and that I should live my life the way he did drives the person I try to be. I am a husband and father and always make a conscious effort to put family first. Besides coaching CrossFit, I enjoy snowboarding when I can, playing nearly any sport, using my smoker for whatever sounds good to eat smoked, training MMA, Obstacle Racing (Spartans! AROO!), hunting, trying new beers and whiskeys, and hanging out with my wife and kids and the cool people I meet in life. I have been an athlete all my life competing on a national level in wrestling and Judo for many years as well as spending time as a competitive powerlifter and of course high school football like so many others.
